Today I was at work and me and a friend of mine were looking at this month’s Architectural Digest with Liz Taylor featured in it. We were looking through the photos of her and my friend said, “She looks like a Modigliani.” and I was like… “huh.” and then the more I thought about it the more I was thinking WAIT YES.
Its by Charlotte Gilman, it is one of the first pieces of feminist literature… it’s very good and also very short. I addresses “The Woman Problem” that I am so familiar with and Barbara Ehrenrich identifies so deftly in the beginning of “For Her Own Good”. Also where I got the recommendation for this read.
I was talking to this awesome girl last night and she recommended some things to me including this poem.
